Corona's Trash

Corona have used one of the most traditional advertising formats (OOH) in an incredibly innovative way and, what's more, it's for a good cause.

In order to raise awareness of beach pollution, the beer brand targeted World Oceans Day on June 8th to bring out their latest, brilliant piece of marketing.

Traditionally promoting the super-laid-back, beach lifestyle with white sand and crystal clear seas,  Corona actually opted to hijack their own aesthetic to make the campaign even more memorable.

Having collected rubbish from beaches all over the world the brand then created sculptures that surrounded their billboards in a number of major cities. From a design standpoint, they are beautiful installations as the sculptures actually form extensions of their current billboards, extending the waves from the photography into the real world. These wave extensions are made entirely out of the collected rubbish, aiming to focus the lens on this global issue that is only getting worse.

A simple and really effective stunt that looks fantastic. It's bound to turn heads. Check it out below.
